Fundraising is an integral part of the PTO mission. The purpose of fundraising is to:
- Financially support faculty special needs.
- Develop financial soundness and growth to meet the needs of the school.
We achieve these goals through ongoing fundraisers as well as special event-based fundraisers.
- Ongoing fundraisers – Ongoing fundraisers include collecting and submitting:
- Box tops for Education
- Amazon Smile
- Spirit Wear
- Restaurant Family Nights – These are ways for families to get together on a select night, enjoy some food from local restaurants, and raise money for the school. Each business that hosts a community social event donates a portion of their sales to Jefferson Academy. These events are a great way to support both local businesses and your school.
- McDonalds
- Chic-fil-A
- Event-based fundraisers – These types of fundraisers are held throughout the school year and can vary from year to year. These events typically, but not always, include selling items for the school. The LNS event-based fundraisers include:
- Otis Spunkmeyer Sale
- Boosterthon Fun Run
- The PTO also helps with two Scholastic Book Fairs during the school year. Book fairs allows the purchase of new books for your child’s personal library, for the classroom (if you choose to do so), and raise money which goes directly back to the classrooms.
