($4905 in donations and $4,755 in matching funds from the Patterson Foundation.)
Thank you to the 68 people that helped the LNS PTO raise almost $10000 for Laurel Nokomis School in our first Giving Challenge!!!  Your support will make a significant impact on our mission of enriching the learning environment at LNS, encouraging academic, social and personal excellence and development of its students and fostering an atmosphere of cooperation and communication within the school community through a partnership among LNS parents, students, teachers, staff and friends of the school.  We would like to acknowledge all of the donations that we made in memory or in honor of loved ones like Max, Jack, Madelyn C., Will C., the Woolverton Family, Ethan Jones, Hailey, Jim Fralin Construction, Graham Preston Dalton, Matthew Lingle,  Gia, Vivia and Lilia Chipley, Ludo, Ava & Isabella Wescoat, Tom and Larry Jones.  In your name great gifts have been given and great things will be done in your honor.  And additional thanks goes out to all of the LNS PTO Board Members, volunteers, families, friends, business partners, staff and administration, that help make these and all of the PTO efforts on behalf of Laurel Nokomis School, its teachers, staff, families and students a success throughout the year.  We would be remiss if we did not tell you that none of this would have been possible without the 2016 Giving Challenge, presented by the Community Foundation of Sarasota County with the giving strengthened by the Patterson Foundation 1:1 match of donations up to $100.  Thanks also go out to the Manatee Community Foundation, John S. and James L. Knight Foundation William G. the Marie Selby Foundation and the Herald-Tribune Media Group for their support.
