By joining the PTO, you help us meet our school’s needs that are outside the scope of their budget. You also find out what’s going on at the school and become of the collective voice that has a say in how things happen at the school.  Many things happen at the school because of the advocacy of the PTO on behalf of LNS, its Students and Programs.  When you go a step further and volunteer to help with events—or join our board— you set a fine example for our students to follow, and greatly encourage our teachers and staff.

Become a Member!

The membership is an annual $10 donation for your entire family but you can donate more if you would like. The PTO is a volunteer organization that is an extension of the school supporting our children’s education and extracurricular experiences.   100% of the monies raised go back directly to support the needs of our school, teachers and students.

The LNS PTO Memberships for the upcoming school year will be available on the first day of school.  You can apply to become a member of the PTO at any time during the school year however, if your sign up to be a PTO member after the first day of school, your child will participate in the annual PTO Membership Drive and be eligible for family and classroom prizes.

Do I have to go to meetings?

No, you are not required to go to meetings.  However, you are welcomed and encouraged to attend the General Meetings of the PTO because a lot of helpful information and important planning and decisions are made at those meetings that will impact the school and your students experience at LNS.

Do I have to volunteer or spend a lot of time at school?

Nope! Joining the PTO is not the same as volunteering. If you choose to volunteer we would LOVE the help—but volunteering is not required. The LNS is very active and does allot for LNS and its students, teachers/staff, organizations and programs.  We need help to make it all possible and even a little help on some of our events and activities will go a looooooooong way.

Remember that you can help as much or as little as your schedule allows and the meetings are always optional.

Thank you for helping us make a difference today!
